Ian Charpentier

I am a global human resources executive who builds and executes people strategies that align with business strategy and increase employee engagement. With 30 years experience across technology, professional services, outsourcing, and retail industries, I bring a fresh and curious perspective to solve challenges and problems. While my background is diverse, I focus specifically on technology companies that are private equity backed and understand the value of a talent strategy to effectively scale.  


I am known for figuring problems out, being innovative, and getting solutions across the line. By listening intently to business leaders and employees, leveraging data analytics, and collaborating with key resources, I develop specific plans that align with the strategy and have real impact. In addition to having deep experience across HR domains, I am exceptionally strong in employee engagement, performance alignment, talent management, and mergers & acquisitions.  


As a leader, I am known for being a sounding board to executives and distilling action out of ambiguity. I create collaborative team cultures that emphasize approachability, clear communication, and prioritization. I remove roadblocks and support the achievement of individual and team goals.
